“At this exact moment, which of the following is closest to your person: your wallet, your keys, or your phone? The answer is most likely your phone. They are the things that most quickly induce bag-scrabbling panic if they momentarily disappear from our eyeline. So it is only logical that this year’s It accessory isn’t a handbag, but a phone case.” —— The Guardian
Fashionable folks across the globe are beginning to realize the creative possibilities of “dressing up” their phone. Phone cases present a new, uncharted territory for creative expression.
However, there is an unfortunate downside to this trend. Every year, hundreds of millions of mobile phone cases are discarded, and around 90% of these discarded cases are still perfectly usable. These abandoned phone cases contribute to the ever-growing problem of excess waste and pollution. The majority of these phone cases are made of plastic, and plastic pollution alone creates at least 300 million tons of waste every year.
For people who want to express their personal style while still being eco-conscious, the key is mindful consumption. One step towards mindful consumption is awareness of the materials used to create the products you are buying.
UFOLOGY’s biodegradable phone cases offer an avenue for playing with your style and creative expression while helping reduce the burden of plastic on our environment.
UFOLOGY is dedicated to environmental protection and has launched a series of phone cases made from 100% biodegradable wheat straw materials. While in use on your phone, the case is durable and guaranteed to protect your phone no matter where you take it. However, in compost conditions, it naturally degrades over several months, creating harmless water and carbon dioxide byproducts that do not harm the environment.
UFOLOGY is a designer label founded in 2019 with a mission to explore both the beautiful and funny details of life. Their phone cases are designed with the intention of bringing people back to those cozy, carefree, and funny moments.
UFOLOGY designer Romi says “I like to spend time recording and re-creating interesting details in life. For me, the most rewarding thing is to discover the beauty that most people ignore.”
The latest UFOLOGY series, Pieces of Life, is all about getting back to nature and enjoying the small things. They use fun and simple design to bring a deeper sense of spiritual comfort within everyday life, highlighting simple pleasures within a fast-paced world. Whether it’s a cup of coffee or a loaf of bread, the small joys of life bring us much needed respite from all the running around.
“It is impossible to hate a bagel even though I’m plumping up! “
Bagel, grammatically a noun, but conceptually an adjective. It is more than a hand-sized bread product that usually appears on your brunch table, but also could become a lifestyle and a state of mind.
UFOLOGY’s designer Romi can be found either at her desk, or enjoying her chilled bagel time. Bagels may not have the best rap, and she does care about keeping healthy, but she also knows that bagels nourish the soul. Delicious food revitalizes us. Here, she recaps her life journey with her favorite food – bagels.
“My favorite part of stay-cation is making my Jenga bagel breakfast. Whether my tower is made of avocado, tomato, or banana, it starts my day off in the best way.
When working overnight, I like my bagels filled with cream cheese and raspberries and smushed in a bagel guillotine. The bakery near my apartment serves an entire table of fresh bagels in the morning. Even though I’ve gained a significant amount of weight, I couldn’t possibly complain. It’s impossible to hate a bagel, especially a perfectly baked one! Every time I’ve smelled a bagel, I knew my carbless diet was done for.”
If Romi is ever found crying, a bagel would certainly help. Aside from being her favorite food, bagels represent comfort, coziness, and the bliss of your dream lifestyle.
